I went along to see boy band the Wanted perform at the Civic in Wolverhampton on 11th April 2011.
It was interesting to see how the support act ‘Twenty Twenty’ performed live after I interviewed them earlier in the day (interview with Twenty Twenty). They are really friendly and funny and to be honest I was more excited to see them perform live than ‘The Wanted’.
When ‘Twenty Twenty’ came on stage many people in the audience knew who they were and also had heard of their songs which was great, after a while I even found myself singing along. They performed song from their debut album Small Talk which are really catchy and make you want to dance and sing along. I think Twenty Twenty will have a huge following in the months to come, especially from fans of Busted, McFly and Blink 182, so keep a look out for them.

The Wanted’s concert ‘Behind Bars’ was a great show. The idea to have the theme ‘Behind Bars’ was genius as it fitted perfectly with the groups name ‘The Wanted’. They were brilliant performing live, and they even covered some of Taio Cruzies songs which went down well, and I felt worked well because they are still a relatively new band and some people may not know all of their songs just yet.
The concert fitted into a story with the songs they used to fit their dialogue. At one point during the concert ‘The Wanted’ came into the audience to take pictures with their fans which was nice because not many artists do that. After this concert I was definitely converted into a Wanted fan.
