The film is about a teacher called Elizabeth Halsey, played by Cameron Diaz, who has a rich fiancé and leaves her job as she plans on living off his money. But when her fiancé tells her that he wants to break-up because she only wants him for his money, she has to go back to her job as a teacher. Ms Halsey is not a good teacher to her pupils as she just lets them watch movies each lesson rather than teach.

Elizabeth is on the look out for a new man’s bank account to rest on. Enter Mr Delacorte (Timberlake) a hot new substitute teacher with plenty of family money who is well-loved by everyone. Ms Halsey definitely has her work cut out chasing the dorky, yet hot teacher.

Elizabeth is very materialistic and she will do anything for money. There is a teacher’s competition at her school and the teacher who gets the highest marks for their students gets awarded money and as Elizabeth wants money for a boob job she starts making her students work hard and stops the movies she used to let them watch. She will do anything to win this competition as she thinks the prize money will help her improve her looks to bag the rich teacher Mr Delacorte, but along the way this bad teacher learns a few lessons herself.

I thought the movie was really good; Cameron Diaz is perfect as a bad teacher and even though she isn’t perfect, she still fights for what she wants.
