On the 29th of November 2010, 30 Seconds to Mars finally released their brand new deluxe edition album ‘This Is War’ after a continuous delayed release. This long awaited album is an extended deluxe edition of their album ‘This Is War’ released in 2009. 30 Seconds to Mars, consisting of Jared Leto, Tomo Miličević and Shannon Leto are a worldwide phenomenon.

The album has many new songs, such as their cover of Lady Gaga’s, ‘Bad Romance’ and a few remakes such as Hurricane; featuring Kanye West. The album will be placed on two discs, the first disc containing the soundtracks and the seconds disc containing video’s from their tour, making of the album and finished videos for the singles.

The album has been influenced from a hybrid of The Killers’ retro new wave and My Chemical Romance’s gothic prog, sounding more into the genres of synth rock, metal, and progressive rock. This is clearly noticed throughout the album whose mix of music suits 30 Seconds to Mars style perfectly and shows what a great band they truly are.

Overall another great album from 30 Seconds to Mars that’s completely worth the extra weeks of waiting, failing to disappoint a single fan. I recommend skipping to ‘This is War’ deluxe from the original album and ‘Hurricane’ made specific for this album.
