The festival of Eid marks the end of Ramadan, a month when Muslims fast throughout the day and eat only at night prayers. Feasts and family get together are the major highlights of the Eid ul fitr celebrations. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims observe a strict fast and participate in pious activities such as charitable giving and peace-making. It is a time of intense spiritual renewal for those who observe it. At the end of Ramadan, Muslims throughout the world have an enjoyable three day celebration called Eid al-Fitr (the Festival of Fast-Breaking). Eid means recurring happiness or festivity. Eid is celebrated with much enthusiasm and Muslims from all strata of life can be seen adorned in beautiful new clothes, visiting the mosques to attend Salatul Eid (Eid prayers). Greetings of Eid-Mubarak or a blessed Eid are exchanged. On the day of Eid, Muslims gather early in the morning in outdoor locations or mosques to perform the Eid prayer. This consists of a sermon followed by a short congregational prayer. After the Eid prayer, Muslims usually scatter to visit various family and friends, give gifts (especially to children), and make phone calls to distant relatives to give well-wishes for the holiday.

I am really excited for Eid. I got my new clothes, I’m wearing a pink suit from Pose on Lady pool road with jewellery matching the suit with my gold heels. What I like about Eid is that I can wear my new clothes and get together with family and eat loads of food after spending a month not eating until the night because of the month of Ramadan and also receiving money from the family. I just want to say Happy Eid for the people celebrating Eid and hope you have a fantastic and enjoyable day and get the presents you wanted!
