It has been one of the best film franchises ever made, but now JK Rowling’s epic finally reaches the last chapter of Harry Potter.

Harry potter has been an inspiration to a lot of young people, and I’m sure those of us who have grown up now will probably still remember him. Harry’s famous for his magical life and the experience he goes through are out of this world! From flying with a broom stick, to solving mysteries, to breaking school rules which get him in deep trouble! I remember when the first part of the Deathly Hallows came out, the queues outside cinemas in Britain were huge. On the day when the last of Harry Potter films is to be released, the whole world will cry and never forget what Harry Potter has meant to them – a phenomenal character going on an extraordinary journey, from being a small boy to a grown man.

Some of the characters are unforgettable, especially Ron and Hermione. Known as the three Potters – because they’re always together with Harry. Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) cried during the final filming of Harry Potter and shed tears at the World premiere last week, showing how much this film means to her and how much she, as well as the fans, will miss the Potter series.

From the beginning…

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

The first of the films in which Voldemort kills Harry’s parents. He is then nurtured by Aunt and Uncle Vernon and Petunia. Letters keep on being posted by owls magically and are burnt by Vernon as he doesn’t want Harry to read them. The family move to a place where the letters are unreachable. This time a man strolls through the front door – with a big beard, tall and very huge.He brings the news which is written in all of theletters. Harry’s been accepted at the Wizardry School of Hogwarts!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

After the start of the second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, messages appear on the walls of corridors stating that the Chamber of Secrets has been re-opened and that the Heir of Slytherin (Tom Riddle) would kill all pupils whose parents are not both magical. Ron’s younger sister Ginny is taken in to the Chamber of Secrets. Harry comes to the entrance of the Chamber of Secrets and is taken on a trip of his life!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

The Potter three return to Hogwarts for another year. But to only find out that security has been tightened due to the notorious mass murderer Sirius Black’s escape from Azkaban, the wizard prison. Harry learns quickly that Black betrayed Harry’s beloved parents to Voldemort 11 years ago, leading to their deaths.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

In the last three novels Harry Potter has struggled with difficulties that come with growing up and the added challenge of being a famous wizard and losing his parents at such a young age. The story begins fifty years before the present day, with a description of how the Riddle family were mysteriously killed at supper and their groundsman, Frank Bryce, was suspected of the crime but then declared innocent. Frank Bryce, now an elderly man, wakes in the night to see a light in the window of the abandoned Riddle House. He investigates and overhears Voldemort and Wormtail plotting to kill a boy named Harry Potter. Voldemort takes note of him and kills him on the spot. Harry Potter wakes up in the night with a throbbing pain in the scar Voldemort gave him. He worries that Voldemort is nearby and he writes to Sirius Black, his godfather, mentioning the pain in his scar.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Harry is spending another tedious summer with his dreadful Aunt and Uncle when a group of evil spirits known as ‘Dementors’ stage an unexpected attack on Harry and cousin Dudley. He manages to defend himself by using magic. He is then visited by a group of wizards and is flown off to 12 Grimmuald Place in London (the house of Harry’s godfather- Sirius Black) and the HQ’s of the Order of the Phoenix. The Order is a group of wizards and witches lead by headmaster Albus Dumbledore who are always ready to fight Lord Voldemort and his followers.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

During a potions session, Harry is given a textbook which once belonged to someone named ‘The Half-Blood Prince’, heavily annotated and helps Harry excel in Potions. Regular meetings are held between Dumbledore and Harry regarding memories of those who have had had direct contact with Voldemort. Then a few relationships start just like in the present day which turn out not to be so sustainable. Harry and Dumbledore eventually leave Hogwarts to fetch and destroy the locket Horcrux, completion of which would make Voldemort one step closer to mortal!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Following Dumbledore’s death Voldemort completes his ascension to power and gains control of the Ministry of Magic. The three Potters (Harry, Ron, and Hermione) leave Hogwarts to hunt and destroy Voldermort’s remaining horcruxes. Not sure on what they are doing and having very little knowledge about them at the same time. The first of the two horcrux they know about is recovered. But do they find the other one?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

The finale to a long but thrilling chapter of Harry Potter. Who will survive? Is it Harry? The man himself who is on the verge of being killed, or does Lord Voldemort die? Do they both go for the cliff as shown in the trailer but then one of them dies and the other miraculously survives? Everything is destroyed in this last chapter and it is something which will shake the hearts of all the fans!
